  • Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are fitted.
  • This is a no-smoking property.

Planned improvements

We are working to make May Cottage more welcoming for disabled guests as follows:

  1. Replace the front doors with wider doors that meet current building regulations for wheelchair users.
  2. Level the area outside the games room to create a wheelchair-accessible children’s outdoor play area, and a barbecue and seating area.
The stone cottage with its glazed double front doors, reached across a wide, level concrete yard.
The front entrance today. These doors will be replaced with wider ones.
The stone games room buildings beside a large concrete yard with uneven, patched surfaces and low steps along the building fronts.
The area outside the games room today, which will be levelled for play, barbecue and seating.

We will update this guide, with measurements and photos, when the work is complete.
